A ~ 2 to 4hr Short Sessions
$88 p/hour - pay as you go. 2hr minimum booking.

B ~ 5 Hour Night Package
$390 (6pm to 11pm)

C ~ 7 Hour Day Package
$550 (10am to 5pm)

D ~ Dry Hire
5hour block $275 / 8hr block $400 / 12hr lock out $575
(Includes an in-house engineer for the first hour)
E ~ Single
For recording and mixing of a single ~ Please get in touch for a personalized quote. We are more then happy to stick to a budget that suits you :)
* FYI we usually recommend a 7hr day session to lay down 1 song. Then depending on budget, we usually recommend 2 to 10 hours of post production. It really depends on the type of sound you are after, so references and demos would help us to give you an honest idea on cost. A single could also mean 2 to 3 songs, as that is pretty typical when distributing on platforms like Spotify
We can Master in-house or give you the pre-Master files to take to another mastering engineer 💾
F ~ EP
For recording and mixing of an EP ~ Please get in touch for a personalized quote. We are more then happy to stick to a budget that suits you :)
* FYI we usually recommend a 7hr day session to lay down a demo of the tracks, listen to reference material, plan out gear, trial some techniques and prepare any click tracks if need be with one of our in-house engineers 🎸
* 7 to 50 hours to record the material and around 5 to 30 hours to mix. We can Master in-house or give you the pre-Master files to take to another mastering engineer 🧑🏻💻
* Recommend add-on: Drum Hire with the Drum Cartel $200 to $700
We do have a house kit available too. (60's 3piece Rogers Kit) 🥁
G ~ Album
For recording and mixing of an an LP best to send a full description of your group, and what you plan to do - demos would be amazing too 🥹
As always we're happy to stick to a budget that suits you ☺️
Cost ranges anywhere from a live recorded album for around $980 up to the cost of a really nice boat 🚤
Most quotes usually come in around 4 to 10k 💰

H ~ Mastering
Marly charges $125 p/song and usually will discount an EP or Album if there are shorter tracks involved. Best to send through your work and Marly can send you a quote.

I ~ 8.5 Hour Production Day with Marly
Load in at 9am, we'll do an 8hour production day involving either recording, writing, dubbing, mixing, experimenting till 5pm, and then we'll take 30mins to listen, pack up and chat about the next step. (with Studio owner Marly Luske)
$750 inc GST
EXTRAS ~ Studio Musicians
Our musician list (those talented folk we choose to work with) changes often. So if you feel you may require some of that talent for your project, be sure to let us know when making your inquiry and we'll do our best to match you up with the right person 💃
Piano Use
Alchemix currently has a Steinway and Sons Model D Grand Piano, which can be used during your recording session. Cost to use the piano is free. If you want to make sure it is in perfect tune, we can get a professional, AJ Hall, to tune it for $220, but the Piano is usually pretty in tune to begin with. We also have a beautiful old upright piano, which is in tune, but down 1 tone. It's really quite special. You can hear it being played on the end of Wagon Ride, from the first Bluey Album.

Studio Terms & Agreements
All prices include 10% GST Tax when invoiced from Alchemix Pty Ltd. We require a 50% deposit to lock in dates. Your deposit is refundable to you in total if you cancel outside of 2 weeks prior to your first recording date.
The remainder is due upon completion of the original booked date.
All your audio and master backups shall remain the property of Alchemix Pty Ltd until all invoices are paid in full by the client.
During your project, your files will be saved on two hard drives. We do however recommend you bring in a portable SSD, to backup your project. We can only guarantee backups for up to 6 months after your project is complete. We don't delete files, we just don't trust hard drives :)
I do however have the last 15 or so years of sessions at arms length.
Ask us if you would like to request a backup hard drive to be added to your project quote.
