Comments: I'm a 25 y/o guitarist/ songwriter trying to put a band together. I've been playing guitar for about 11 years and lately I've been focusing more on substance over style, ie: trying to create a concept within the music, but obviously not neglecting the music itself either. My riffs and song structures tend to be heavy, fast, reasonably intricate and melodic with interesting time changes, but still basic and concise with not too much unnecessary noodling. And conceptually my lyrics tend to be facetious yet not blatantly so. Sort of a parody of hyperbolic teenage angst, alienation, desperation, depression, etc. I played in a punk/ metal band for a few months and have some experience playing live.
