The four members of Calling Kaiser are highly talented musicians in their own right. The great thing about this CD, is that they're not trying to out do each other with fiddly show offs, they recognise the value of a well written pop song and pull it off. I don't mean Ronan Keating pop - I mean catchy songs that grow quickly on the listener. They refer to their style as alternative pop fusion, and I think that is pretty much spot on.
The CD opens with a very sweet and low tempo track. This is followed up with the fun dancey music and catchy choruses. These guys are based in Brisbane so hopefully we'll get them down here in Newcastle one day to perform live.
