Studio B has an identical pricing structure to that of Studio A, however, at a slightly reduced cost. Prices vary from an hourly rate of $60 p/h, to a night package costed at $52 p/hr)
All packages include an engineer, with in house mastering to disk, and free advice on music industry topics. Our engineers also offer their own talents as studio musicians for very reasonable rates. See below for full details............... The prices below are fixed for 2008. |

Studio Musician : Our in house engineers can usually help with laying down instrumental lines if need be, either to help thicken the arrangement, or to create a full backing track to an otherwise solo performance. Per Track : $50 per instrument or $90 for unlimited layers. For more see our studio musicians page or our composing page. |
Extra's : If you ever need to go overtime for an hour or two on any of the packages, the extra hours will be at an equal rate to that particular session. For example, an extra our for a day package will be $56.25 |

Studio terms and agreements: All prices include 10% GST Tax. We require a 50% deposit to lock in dates for 5hrs and above bookings. Your deposit is refundable to you in total if you cancel outside of 2 weeks prior to your first recording date. The remainder is due upon completion of the original booked time. All your audio and master backups shall remain the property of Alchemix Recording Studios until all invoices are paid in full by the client. We recommend you bring your own Fire Wire/Usb hard drives to backup your session. This will speed up backup time. Sessions can be backed up to CD-R or DVD-R but it takes a long time – a typical session will take one hour per song to back up, where as the portable hard drive will be much faster. After 3 months from completing your project, your files will be moved onto backup hard drives, which we no longer can guarantee the safety off. Ask us if you would like to request a backup hard drive to be added to your project quote. We can usually obtain them at a great price. |

We recommend you visit us if your looking to do a release recording. This gives us a chance to talk about how best to capture your sound, under the given timeline and budget, especially if you have any extra requirements. The last reassurance you get when visiting us, is the fact that what you see is what you get. We are no bedroom studio, (unlike our humble beginnings in 1997), but a dual studio facility, of professional construction. We are also happy to answer any questions via e-mail and via the phone.
