As assumed by some, Calling Kaiser have not broken up, they have simply been hibernating over winter, like every good alternative pop fusion musician should do, once every 2 to 3 year period.

Thanks to all who have contacted us and played our CD recently. The media attention surrounding Calling Kaiser over the past 6 months has been solid, receiving reviews & articles printed nation wide, in all major street presses, including single of the week in Rave a few months back. Obviously fantastic for the band, you can read these media releases on this web site

Speaking of the web site, huge improvements and a whole new look will be up and running in the new year. Calling Kaiser's live line up is changing slightly.

Our 3rd and final single, taken from our current EP, will be available for download some time in the new year. The single is our title track, "We write you from the Moon". Its release to radio is imminent. . .

And lastly, we are looking for people to join our very first street team, although the band will look to create street teams all over Australia, Brisbane is our first destination. So if your interested, please let us know. If you not familiar with the term, Street Teams are basically fans who join up, receive all CD's, merchandise and entry into gigs for free. As part of our street team, you will be able to help us promote the band etc and of course cont. to have direct communication with us. Email to join....

Last week we played to a happy Brispop Presents crowd at ricks, a much enjoyed show by us all. Tonight is our last gig before we begin hybernation mode. This basically means that lots of new music will be writen and lots of bed rest for us all (in seperate beds mined you). Tonights gig is with Wipsnade Zoo and the Peach fish. It will be held at the one and only Zoo.

Well, lets update things, Triple J and Triple M are both spot playing Time Keeper, which is damn good. Our Cd's are now also available down the Gold Coast at Sunflowers music shops, and the Atlantis Music shop on Scarborough St (76a).

Time Keeper is off course available for you to vote for or request at either Triple M or Triple J, which we strongly recommend you do, thumbs up!

It seems that all has gone well, the CD is out, we are playing great gigs and having heaps of fun. The next step for us is to combat the air waves, so in the next few weeks, our CD will be hitting the stations, making our first single - Timekeeper, available for your votes and requests.

The recording journal is complete but will cont. to be available for your reading pleasure.

Our CDs will be available over the net on Chaos in the next 3 weeks, and currently we are selling the CD's in Brisbane, at Skinny's, Muse Records and Rockinghorse. Timekeeper, our first single is available for free download from the music page, with a 2nd single being released in April. Hello fellow Kaiser fans, we are happy to let you know about our CD launch Dates. Our Brisbane Launch, will be on the 15th of February at the Alley Bar. Hunnicut will be supporting us on the evening..

Down at the Gold Coast, we are releasing our CD at the arc, with help from our friends, Sleepy House and the Aaron Allen Band. For more info, please cont. to check up on the gigs section. The CD is almost ready for duplication, we are currently creating the cover design. The recording page is still being updated, with one last entry to be made next week, concerning the mastering/design and duplication. Have a good one, and see you at the CD launches! Toot!

Ok, we have just added a new section to this website, it is called recording. It's basically a journal of the recording sessions which we are part taking in on the quest to create our Debut EP.

The Debut EP will be called: "We Write You From The Moon" and will include 7 tracks. This will be quite a long playing CD. Can't say for certain on where or when we will be launching the CD, but we are already looking for a venue. Don't worry, you will hear from us when the time comes, it will most probably be in December. If your not already receiving our newsletters, please sign in here.

Our next gig is at the Troccadero on the Gold Coast, Surfers. It will be on a Wednesday night at 10:30ish on the 20th of November. We will be giving away the last copies of our Demo EP, so don't miss out, ahhh! Toot!

5 gigs are due for the next month, having secured dates after a few months of networking. We have a styling photo shoot happening in a week or 2, so we will finally be replacing our current photos.

We are preparing a new set list consisting of 15 tracks, 90% new tracks. Our first Gig since a few months will be held at the B Lounge along side 2 other bands. We are playing 2nd on the night around 9:15ish. Apart from that we are also recording in our spare time, putting together songs for our 2nd EP, yet to be titled. We are aiming to get that out around Dec, 02. A full Length album is also in our view, with a launch date happening some time mid next year.
