Matty J Whitehouse completed a Bachelor of Music: Music Technology at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music to which he continued recording independently until he started working as an in house engineer for Alchemix Studios.
While working at Alchemix he has also been producing chosen bands and artists under the Merthyr Music team. Matty has also been involved with co-building licorice records (a music publicity company for independent music) and mixing and recording as a live sound mixing engineer. In his spare time Matt helps organise the monthly event the "Valley Transmission" which has given local talent an opportunity to play with experienced artists while exposing their music to the heart of the valley. Matty appreciates music of all shapes and forms; and is always keen to try new projects and challenges. Matt has worked with the following artists : Paul Kelly (Live DVD), Yves Klein Blue, Repeat Offender, New Manic Spree, Verge, Copius, A Date With Apathy, Chris Ernst (Black Market Rhythm Co), Stuart Stuart, Arcane, Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band, Sonic Porno, Little Hill, the Siestas, Crown Law, Trance Solutions, Big Bridge Productions, Creative Intersections, Chrissie Ferros, The Transits, St Joesph's College- Greorgy Terrace, Barrie Mason to name a few. Matt has been head engineer at Alchemix since 2006.
