The label was the idea of musician/composer/engineer Marly Lüske from Alchemix.
Alchemix (an experimental band - project) didn't have anyone to put out their recordings so instead of waiting around for help, Alchemix Records was formed.

The label is intended to be more of a " Co-Op" rather than a Corporation.

The aim is, streamlining efforts, creating a professional impact, bands under the name of Alchemix supporting each other, promoting themselves, the label and CD releases. Other bands and musos are and will be approached to be involved. So, we are scouting for real bargains. We are looking for stuff that isn't the flavor of the week, we actually intend on creating an overall identity, that is groups, who deal a lot with free experimentation, through the creation of sound. This can even include performing, and non performing groups.

 

If you are in a band, solo artists and are interested to link up with us, are located somewhere close to the Gold Coast or Brisbane and in the spirit of cooperation, contact us.... We support mainly every style of music, but with the label in mind, we are aiming to create a experimental based label, which directly works with the flexibility and freedom of being independent.
